Our Old Waverley Hotel is a landmark building in the centre of the city and offers guests the perfect location to explore the many varied attractions which Edinburgh has to offer. Please note that guest are allowed to use the Leisure centre of a nearby 4 star Old Waverley Hotel (10 minute walk away) for £5and £7 per person per day.

Premium rooms are the largest of the accommodation types within the Old Waverley Hotel and have just been fully refurbished to a very high standard. All these rooms have excellent views of Princes Street and Gardens, while most have views of Edinburgh Castle.
Standard rooms offer comfortable surroundings in traditional style with all the modern features you would expect in a city centre 3-star hotel. Please note that these rooms are situated throughout the Old Waverley Hotel and not all of them have views. To be guaranteed a view a supplement applies.
Small double (internal with no views) rooms offer comfortable surroundings in traditional style with all the modern features you would expect in a city centre 3-star hotel. As the name suggests, these are small rooms, situated at the back of the Old Waverley Hotel and have no views at all.
Food & beverage
Bar lunches are available in the Old Waverley Hotel lounge from 11am each day. In the evening, Cranstons Restaurant offers fine dining in stunning surroundings. Enjoy our varied menu while admiring the stunning castle views! Dinner is served from 6.30pm until 9.30pm each evening. Reception will be happy to make a reservation.
Travel information
From the M6:
- Continue onto the A74(M) exiting at junction 13 onto the A702 which eventually leads right into Edinburgh.
- Once in the city, follow signs for Edinburgh Waverley train station. The is almost opposite the Princes Street exit.
From the A1:
- Follow the A1(M) for Edinburgh.
- Follow signs for city centre and then Waverley train station. The is almost opposite the Prices Street exit.
The has no car parking of it own, though guests of the receive a 20% discount on parking at the nearby Greenside Place NCP on Leith Street (just of the East End of Princes Street). Please bring the ticket you get from the car park to the reception to get this discount.
